Terms of Service
Last Updated: November 19, 2025
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Proofey application and services (“Service”). By accessing and using Proofey, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by all the terms and conditions contained herein.
By accessing and using Proofey, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must discontinue use of the Service immediately.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Proofey. If you are under 18, you may use the Service only with parental or guardian consent. You may not use Proofey if you are prohibited from receiving services under applicable laws (including U.S. export restrictions).
Proofey provides tools for capturing, storing, organizing, and AI-processing receipts and related financial documentation. Proofey is not an accounting service, tax service, or legal advisor. You are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy of any financial, expense, or bookkeeping outputs.
Proofey does not provide bookkeeping services, accounting services, tax preparation, legal advice, or financial recommendations. AI output may contain inaccuracies, and you agree to independently verify any data before relying on it for tax filings, business decisions, or financial reporting. You assume full responsibility for all financial decisions made based on Proofey's outputs.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account, securing your login credentials, and all activity that occurs under your account. You agree not to:
Proofey may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms.
You retain ownership of all content you upload (“User Content”). By using the Service, you grant Proofey a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to store, process, analyze, and transform your content using AI models, display it back to you, and generate derived metadata such as categorizations and extracted details — solely for the purpose of operating and providing the Service.
You represent and warrant that your User Content does not violate any laws, does not infringe any intellectual property rights, and does not include fraudulent, misleading, pornographic, violent, harmful, abusive, or otherwise inappropriate materials.
Proofey uses machine learning and AI to interpret and categorize receipts. You acknowledge that AI results may contain errors, that categorizations are not guaranteed to be accurate, and that all AI-generated outputs should be manually reviewed. Proofey is not responsible for any losses arising from reliance on AI-generated content.
Proofey grants you a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal or business purposes as intended. You may not:
If you purchase a subscription or paid feature, you acknowledge that Proofey uses third-party providers such as RevenueCat to process payments. By entering your payment information, you authorize recurring charges and automatic renewals until you cancel. Unless required by law, all payments are non-refundable. You may cancel at any time, and your access to paid features will remain active until the end of the applicable billing period.
Proofey uses third-party providers (“Subprocessors”) to operate core functionality, including:
By using Proofey, you consent to data processing by these third parties under their own terms and privacy policies.
We retain your information while your account is active. When you delete your account, the following data is instantly deleted:
Some data may be retained for legal compliance, fraud prevention, or billing disputes. All sensitive and financial data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest using industry-approved encryption standards.
Users may request deletion of their account and associated data at proofey-app.com/delete-account. You may also initiate account deletion directly from within the app. Upon deletion: active data is removed promptly, residual data in logs or backups may persist temporarily, and some data may be retained for legal compliance, fraud prevention, or billing disputes.
Proofey reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without prior notice. You acknowledge that uptime is not guaranteed and that Proofey shall not be liable for any losses resulting from outages, interruptions, or other service unavailability.
Some features of the Service may be released as beta or experimental and may contain bugs, performance issues, or incomplete functionality. By using such features, you acknowledge and accept all associated risks.
Proofey implements reasonable technical and organizational security measures; however, no system is perfectly secure. In the event of a data breach, Proofey will notify users as required by applicable law.
You agree not to use Proofey in countries where prohibited by U.S. law or where export restrictions apply.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Proofey's total liability is limited to the greater of one hundred dollars ($100) or the amount you have paid to Proofey in the preceding twelve (12) months. Proofey shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages, including loss of data, financial losses resulting from inaccurate AI outputs, missed deductions, tax errors, or business impacts.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Proofey and its officers, developers, suppliers, owners, founders, employees, and partners from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses arising out of or related to your use or misuse of the Service, any uploaded content, any legal violations, or any tax filings taken based on outputs generated through Proofey.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Proofey operates. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that region for any disputes arising from or related to the Service.
You and Proofey agree to resolve all disputes exclusively through binding arbitration rather than in court. You further waive any right to participate in class actions, class arbitrations, or representative actions. This arbitration agreement and waiver shall survive the termination of your account.
Proofey may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms, suspected fraud, misuse of the Service, or security concerns. Upon termination, your license to use Proofey ends immediately.
The materials and services provided by Proofey are offered on an ‘as is’ and ‘as available’ basis. Proofey does not warrant or guarantee the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any materials. All warranties, whether expressed or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are disclaimed to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Proofey reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Users will be notified of changes through an in-app notice, email, or an updated “Last Updated” date on this page. Continued use of the Service after such updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
